Inside the play area, there is a perception of spaceships that constantly come under attack from aliens. Alien heroes dart aimlessly through the battlefield. The blue light surrounding the play area serves as a visual cue. Because of their importance, clicking on a recently-arrived spaceship is imperative. Doing so helps the aliens direct their attention toward attacking the spacecraft as soon as possible. And although the location of spaceships changes, this mechanic is permanent. Aliens leave behind light trails as they race through the air. These streaks indicate the color of their power source, which is correlated to the power system this hero pursues.

Idle Alien's assortment of Aliens overwhelms you; first you need to unlock the hero cards through various levels. Each hero comes with a different cost and color based on their strength. Obgu is a huge creature with stubby legs and muscular arms. Eshu, another important Yoruba god, appears as a yellow giant with blue bloodshot eyes. Some other gods exhibit even more unusual features— Hero Las appears alien-like with blue clothes and big, round eyes. Qusul wears white clothes and holds a blue orb of power. Many other heroes are awaiting your assistance to be unlocked.

Idle Alien's systems provide players with many helpful additions. Four main Boost Systems sit to the side of the Aliens area. These cards feed into the Aliens section and provide players with additional strength. Additionally, the Alien space ships constantly face off against each other in the void of space. The name Double Damage suggests that it increases all damage done to spaceships. Tap Boost increases x10 damage when battling heroes. The final tap opens up Double Gold, which grants players twice the money for each victory. Additionally, Double Speed brings all aliens to the fight at double speed.

During a war, the Alien head symbolized the massive number of participants. Because of the head's massive size, the rest of the Alien race appears as a spaceship. Different spaceship designs appear throughout the war in different places. A gray machine with a pointed top and eight tentacles appears in some alien appearances. Alternatively, an octopus wrapped around the aliens with its ink-covered tentacles appears. Emoting and maneuvering around the display, these starships appear at a pace slower than the Aliens heroes' fierce pace. Idle Alien's gold coins resemble five-pointed mini stars instead of round coins. Whenever the player successfully attacks the spaceship, they will collect 2.3 stars. More attacks and turns increase the number of earned stars. These increase the number of mercenaries and aliens that can be bought or hired. Investing lots of earned stars in powerful combat aliens with high attack power is recommended. To understand your enemy's health needs to follow the blue column at the top of the screen. When that column is depleted, you're close to victory. The Idle Alien mod upgrades the Aliens heroes by default, granting them additional power. Doing so also disables the evil spaceships that Idle Alien mod sweeps away. ———
